It was a normal day at Kaibara High as the youths of the Sohma family, Tohru, Saki, and Uo-chan were sitting outside. "So what are you guys going to do for the talent show?" Tohru asked the males as she happily ate an onigiri. "We're thinking about doing a band," Haru sighed as he glared down at the cafeteria food. That day's special just happened to be hamburgers and Haru being the Cow of the Zodiac ddin't quite agree. Arisa smirked as she stole one of Kyo's fries. "Sounds interesting, but please don't tell me that Kyo is singing," she smirked as Kyo shot her a glare. "As a matter of fact I am," he shot back as he opened his milk carton. Yuki nodded as he took a bite of an apple. "What's the name of the song you guys are performing," Saki asked quietly as she sipped on a bottle of water. "It's a song Kyo, Haru and myself are working on called 'Home'," Yuki smiled. "What genre?" Tohru asked curious of what the Sohma males had in mind. "Alternative Rock," Kyo smirked as he took out a piece of paper and started to write lyrics. "Shigure invited the rest of the zodiac and Akito to watch the talent show," Haru said placidly.

After school that day when the others went home, Haru, Yuki, and Kyo Sohma stayed behind in the music room to rehearse what they had od the song. Haru on bass guitar and backing vocal, Yuki playing the drums also doing vocal, and Kyo on rhythm guitar and lead vocals. "No matter how hard I try, you’re never satisfied. This is not a home, I think I’m better off alone. You always disappear, even when you’re here. This is not my home,
I think I’m better off alone" The three boys sang in perfect harmony. Taking a break the three smirked at each other. "This is going to be perfect," Haru said as he drank a bottle of Dr Pepper. "Yeah," Yuki and Kyo agreed for once.

Later that night Kyo sat on the roof with his fellow band-mates finishing up the lyrics. "So far we have, ' I'll be coming home just to be alone. Cause I know you're not there, and I know that you don't care. I can hardly wait to leave this place." Then we have the chorus, so now we need a second verse," Kyo said as he read off the notebook with the lyrics and chords written in. The three Sohma's closed their eyes deep in thought. "I got it!," Haru yelled as he took the notebook and scribbled a few lines down. Yuki and Kyo read over the Ox's shoulder as he continued to write. Nodding with his work, he passed the notebook to Yuki who finished off the verse. "So after the verse we repeat the chorus a few more times and fade out a chord." Yuki suggested as he wrote down the chorus two more times. "Ok it's finished, in two days we really get give the family the finger," Kyo smirked as they climbed off the roof.

The two days have passed and the talent show was to take place that night. Arisa did a stand up act that consisted of mainly cracking unknown Kyo jokes. Saki did a psyche ack that involved a person of the audience. And Tohru worked backstage due to her stage-fright. "Ok you guys are on in two minuets," she smiled at the boys who gave a nod in return. "Ok this is it, all of our hard work pays off here," Yuki announced quietly to his cousins. "And now for your listening and viewing pleasure, give it up for Yuki, Kyo and Hatsuharu Sohma performing a song of their own writing 'Home'." The announcer cheered as the three cursed males walked up on stage quickly setting up their amps because eariler they came in to set up Yuki's drums.

Walking up to the center mic, Kyo glanced at the audience locking eyes with the God of the zodiac himself, Akito. "On three," Yuki mouthed to Haru and Kyo who nodded as Yuki gave off three clicks of the sticks to set tempo. As the music started Kyo smirked at Akito, who looked furious.

Yuki: I’ll be coming home, just to be alone
Kyo: Cause I know you’re not there, and I know that you don’t care
Haru: I can hardly wait to leave this place

Haru: By the time you come home, I’m already stoned
Yuki: You turn off the TV, And you scream at me
Kyo:I can hardly wait, till you get off my case

As the three Sohma's continued to play, Akito growled in extreme anger storming out of the room. The Madabuchi trio smirked at the boys, Shigure and Ayame giving them a thumbs-up.

As the last chord was played Haru ansd Yuki stood on the center stage with Kyo high fiving eachother. "That was f**king awesome the way Akito just left like that," Kyo grinned. "Yeah," Haru agreed as he set his bass back into the case. Yuki smiled as Tohru, Arisa, and Saki ran up to them congratulating them. They all looked toward the auditorum doors where Akito was being held back by Shigure, Ayame, and Hatori. A wicked grin crossed the teens faces as they watched Akito's struggle. "Ok let's leave before he breaks out," Yuki suggested as they walked out through the back entrance.
